Hodgdon H380 Smokeless Powder 8 Lbs
by HODGDON , IMR & WINCHESTER
H380™ was an unnamed spherical rifle propellant when the late Bruce Hodgdon first used it. When a 38.0 grain charge behind a 52 grain bullet gave one hole groups from his 22 caliber wildcat (now called the 22-250), he appropriately named the powder H380. H380 is also a superb performer in the 220 Swift, 243, 257 Roberts and other fine varmint cartridges. Grain shape is hollow ball.

The Lyman 47th doesn’t recommend H380 in the 308 for no reason. Shoots in 2 to 3″ in my 20″ 700 triangle barrel at 400 yards with Hornady 155 A-Max and 48 grains of H380. Can’t do it with any other combo. This is with the bullets seated out too far to work in the magazine, 2.948″ O.L. and with WLR primers and new Lake City Arsenal brass.

This powder is awesome in my Tikka T3 Lite 300 wsm, 168gr Berger hunting vld bullet, magnum primers, Winchester brass. I am getting 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards out of a weapon that boasts 1″ groups at 100 yards.
